The OFSCN® 800°C Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensor consists of a fiber connector (FC, SC, LC, ST, etc.), a stainless steel seamless tube, and a single/multi-point femtosecond fiber Bragg grating (FBG) package. The fiber Bragg grating is written using a femtosecond laser point-by-point writing method, and the fiber used is a pure silica core polyimide fiber.
This fiber Bragg grating sensor is characterized by its high sensitivity, fast heat conduction, good accuracy, small size, light weight, high tensile strength, high compressive strength, high-temperature resistance, water resistance, moisture resistance, non-combustibility, and corrosion resistance.
By utilizing the temperature measurement properties of the FBG, this sensor can be inserted, clamped, adhered, or embedded into the structure to be measured for temperature detection and monitoring. The OFSCN® 800°C Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensor can be packaged with a single-point femtosecond fiber Bragg grating or a multi-point femtosecond fiber Bragg grating array (FBG fiber grating array).
This product is currently defined as an 800°C product, and the temperature range depends on the quality of the fiber and fiber Bragg grating.
The product uses a femtosecond fiber Bragg grating package that can be repeatedly used in an 800°C environment (it can be used at higher temperatures for a short time, up to 1000°C. After 24 hours in a 900°C test environment, the reflectivity of the femtosecond fiber Bragg grating degrades by 6%).
In terms of principle and practical measurements, this fiber Bragg grating temperature sensor (FBG thermometer) is a universal product and is not limited by the compatibility of fiber Bragg grating demodulation equipment.
