This article uses a joke to explain the process of combustion. It analyzes the OFSCN® Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Series Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor (FBG sensor) produced by DCYS. The sensors include fiber bragg grating temperature sensors (FBG thermometers), fiber bragg grating strain sensors (FBG strain gauges), 및 fiber bragg grating stress sensors (FBG load cells 및 pressure sensors). They are non-combustible fiber bragg grating sensors. Partial physical diagrams of the full-metal encapsulated fiber  grating sensors are provided.

광섬유 브래그 격자 센서는 온도 감지에 일반적으로 사용되며, 특히 -269도부터 거의 1000도에 이르는 극한 환경의 온도 측정에 활용됩니다.

저온은 연소를 일으키지 않으므로 걱정할 필요가 없습니다. 그러나 고온 감지에 있어서는 광섬유 격자 센서의 재료 구성을 고려해야 합니다. 그렇지 않으면 온도 측정 중에 센서가 발화하면 우스꽝스러운 일이 될 것입니다.

1. 광섬유 격자 센서(FBG 센서) 연소의 필요 조건

농담이 나와서 말인데, STEM 학생들만 이해할 수 있는 농담을 통해 연소 과정을 설명해 봅시다:

X 선생님이 학생 세 명을 불러 반응 능력을 시험하기 위해 교실을 채우라고 지시했습니다. 학생 A는 교실 문과 창문을 닫고 선생님께 공기로 교실을 채웠다고 말합니다. 학생 B는 밀가루 한 봉지를 가져와 여기저기 쉽게 뿌리며 밀가루로 교실을 채웠다고 주장합니다. 학생 C는 주머니에서 라이터를 꺼내 빛으로 교실을 채우려 했습니다. 결국 X 선생님과 학생 A, B, C는 사망했습니다.

많은 분들이 아는 미소를 짓거나 당혹스러워할 것이라고 생각합니다. 사실 이 농담은 연소의 세 가지 조건을 먼저 설명합니다. 첫 번째 조건은 가연성 물질(밀가루), 두 번째 조건은 산화제(공기, 더 정확히는 특정 농도의 산소), 세 번째 조건은 발화 온도(점화원)입니다. 또한 폭발을 위한 또 다른 조건인 밀폐된 공간을 추가합니다. 그러므로 이 농담은 STEM 학생들만 이해할 수 있는 것입니다.

2. Packaging Materials of the Non-Combustible OFSCN® Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Series Fiber Optic Grating Sensors (FBG sensor)

Now, let's move away from the joke 및 focus on the product. The main material of the OFSCN® Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor produced by DCYS is stainless steel. In the current atmospheric conditions on Earth, stainless steel seamless tubes are non-combustible materials.

If we want to be more demanding, let's take a look at the fiber optic connectors of OFSCN® Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensors (as shown in 그림 3). The fiber optic connectors are also made of metal, and there is a ceramic material inside the connectors, which is also non-combustible. Therefore, we can confidently say that OFSCN® Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Fiber Optic Grating Temperature Sensors have the characteristic of being non-combustible, and they are safe to use for high-temperature measurements. They will not burn when used to measure high temperatures.
